Day 14 - Wyndham - final day

That's it, its over!! 😞 Waiting for the bus to take us to Kununurra where we overnight and catch the flight to Perth the next day.

Thanks Odyssey crew and fellow passengers for a fantastic experience and memories.  It sure has been an amazing trip and the places we have seen that so few will ever get to experience make it especially special.

We have also been so lucky to see the falls flowing with so much water, they haven't flowed this well for some years.  Whilst it was hot and sticky glad we did this early in the season.

Bucket list ticked 👍

Bye Odyssey

Bye Homer

Day 13 - Berkeley River, Casurina Falls, First Creek on the Left

Last day 😪 early morning hike to the top of Casuarina Falls. This really was a scramble to the top.  More stunning rockpools we wallowed in. John went for a fishing trip on the tinnies to try and catch the elusive barramundi. Unsuccessful just caught a catfish and a queenfish both undersize.

These shorts survived the trip scrambling up and down the boulders and rocks mostly on my bum!

Pools at top of Casuarina Falls

Ahh bliss 😀

Well deserved dunk after a long hot walk

John saw this guy when fishing

We had a picnic lunch at a The First Creek on the Left, more nice rockpools and some amazing waterfalls that we were able to sit under and have a nice massage.  As we had to swim to them we weren't able to take phones so couldn't take pics.

Later in the arvo left the rivers to steam to Wyndham via the Timor Sea and into Cambridge Gulf.

The Lady M, looks nice and has a spa!  Another tour operator

Final nibbles and drinks on the bow.

Day 12 - Berkeley River, Whirlpool Creek and Hells Gate, Casuarina Falls

Another stunning area. Spectacular rock formations similar to King George River but more subdued. Went for a swim at Whirlpool Creek Rock Bar quite shallow in parts but fish and Lily pads. Very pretty.   John was looking forward to a tour of the engine room however it was postponed due to jellyfish being in the impellar (for the generator).  Also resulted in no aircon for a while.

After lunch we had a dunk at Casurina Falls and Hells Gate both very nice and refreshing. Followed by a final dunk at Amphitheatre Falls where we are anchored for the night. All the falls have been so different and all flowing exceptionally. The crew tell us that the last couple years the falls have not been flowing too well.   Definitely been the best waterfall flows for us.
