Day 3 - Red Cone Creek, Ruby Falls and Sale River

Started the day doing mud crabbing in the mangroves, pulling up pots. We were in the tinnies and at the entry to the creek there was a crocodile. After checking some pots there was a croc 'guarding' his pot in a little creek so we left it to last and unknowingly to us, he followed us to the next pot which we pulled up and it was empty. When throwing it back down the croc grabbed it and took off with it. The rest you'll have to watch the video. Needless to say young Ben's heart was racing and he is now known as the croc wrangler.

Next activity was a swim at Ruby Falls which included a steep climb up the side of the waterfall with the help of a rope, yikes.  It was definitely worth it but was a daunting climb. We snorkelled in the pond and it was wonderful lots of fish and a great ride on a waterfall.

Here they are

John found a shady spot

After lunch John decided to go on the tinny fishing for Barramundi and I decided to bite the bullet and join the fishers for a scenic trip. Glad I did it was very pleasant, amazing sky and scenery in the Sale and George Rivers. Amazing what happened here is a fish was caught which sadly was floating on the surface due to swim bladder problem. A sea eagle was hovering above obviously wanting this fish but put off by us. Once we moved we watched it swoop and catch the fish amazing. It also actually rained.
